Chinese Paralympians commended in Beijing

The Chinese delegation to the Rio 2016 Paralympics was commended at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sept 21. China claimed a total of 239 medals, including 107 gold and 81 silver medals at this year’s games.

A group of gold medal winners were awarded honorary titles and certificates of merit for their tireless pursuit of success.

Fifteen teams and 45 athletes were awarded the National May 1 Labor Medal in recognition of their excellent performances by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.

The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the All-China Youth Federation gave honorary titles to 15 groups and 45 individuals.

More than 20 women athletes and five teams, including the 4x100m T11-13 relay race team, received awards from the All-China Women’s Federation.
