Guangdong advisory body elects senior officials

Lin Musheng, a member of the standing committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC, has been elected vice-chairman of Guangdong Provincial of Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

The 4th session of the 11th Guangdong Provincial of Committee of CPPCC which opened on Saturday ended in the Guangdong provincial capital on Tuesday. Around 900 members of attended the annual conference.

Wu Weipeng was elected secretary-general of Guangdong's top political advisory body.

Lin, 60, a native of Shantou in eastern Guangdong, is now also secretary-general of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC.

Lin was Party chief of prefecture-level Jieyang city before being promoted to deputy governor of Guangdong in 2006.

Lin has been secretary-general and director of the general office of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC since 2012.
