Updated: 2011-07-13 09:14
By D J Clark (chinadaily.com.cn)

Biotechnology crops, the engineering of seed variations by cross breeding and genetically modifying (GM) native seeds, not only provides possibilities to increase yields but also to create more resilient seeds to pests and climate variations. This video, the fifth in a series on the looming food crisis in Asia, looks at biotechnology as one of many different solutions to increase crop yields.
