Adidas launched its adiBand on Tuesday to ignite even greater support for Chinese athletes in London this summer.
The adiBand, a wristband that features the national colors and the image of a dragon, has been designed to inspire the public to get fully behind this year's Olympians.
The launch, hosted by adidas in Sanlitun, Beijing, was attended by major national celebrities, adidas' brand ambassadors and award winning actresses Fan Bingbing and Yao Chen, Miss World Zhang Zilin, former world diving champion Tian Liang and former women's national volleyball team members Zhao Ruirui and Yang Hao.
"The adiBand is an innovative and exciting way for Chinese consumers to support their favorite athletes this summer," said Colin Currie, managing director of adidas Group Greater China.
"For over eight decades we have built a rich heritage in striving to achieve sporting excellence through providing industry-leading products, services and concepts to the world's greatest athletes. We wish China's athletes success this year."
From July 18-Aug 12, millions of adiBands will be available free of charge at select adidas retail stores across China.
By registering the code on the inner side of the band at www.chinaisallin.com, consumers will not only be able to participate in an online interactive campaign, but also get the chance to win special adidas prizes.
