First session of the 15th Dalian People's Congress opens

The first session of the 15th Dalian People's Congress opened at World Expo Square in Dalian, a port city of Northeast China's Liaoning province, on Jan 5.

A total of 454 members of the Standing Committee of the Dalian People's Congress from all walks of life took part in the meeting.

 Tang Jun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Party secretary of the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee, attends the opening ceremony of the first session of the 15th Dalian People's Congress on Jan 5.

Huai Zhongmin, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Dalian People's Congress, presides over the first session of the 15th Dalian People's Congress on Jan 5.

Li Wancai, mayor of Dalian, delivers a report on government work during the first session of the 15th Dalian People's Congress on Jan 5. In his report, Li reviewed the work in the past five years and set down the main objectives and tasks for the next five years.
