The story of youth

What's on

Dandeli holds a group exhibition featuring the works of Li Jun, Li Tingting, Zhang Jiedong, Liu Rui and Zhang Shanshan, five young and talented artists born in the 1980s. Their works communicate their unique perspectives and personal idiom, informed by China's economic transition.

Their creations capture the fragments of their memories and rearrange these in a playful manner. Their brush techniques, which combine an influence of academism and a strong personal style succeed, in evolving a language which goes beyond realism.

This exhibition focuses on the comparison of artworks created with different materials in diverse genres.

Hong Kong indie band

What's on

My Little Airport, an indie band from Hong Kong, comprises songwriter Ah P and vocalist Nicole. Their songs, supported by Casio keyboards, are often light-hearted ditties about "toddling" in the zoo and forbidden romances. But they do have a wicked streak that is as funny as it is naughty.

This cute and mischievous duo record their albums in the comfort and privacy of their own homes and since 2004 have released three albums -- The OK thing to do on a Sunday afternoon is toddle in the Zoo (2004), Because I was too nervous at that time (2005), and We can't stop smoking in the vicious and blue summer (2007), pitched by indie labels in Spain, China, Taiwan and Korea. Their song You Don't Wanna Be My Girlfriend has just been covered by veteran Scottish indie-pop band BMX Bandits.
