Feng Ai is a professor of the Shanghai-based prestigious Fudan University. Despite her daily job, she has dedicated her life to volunteering work by teaching in poverty-stricken areas. She worked as a teacher for two years in rural villages in China's Ningxia and Yunan. She also spent a year in Ethiopia with locals, teaching many of them their first Chinese lessons.
