"Saving General Yang", the new costume action movie of "Fearless" director Ronny Yu, kicked off filming on Tuesday in Kaifeng in Henan Province.
At a news conference held to promote the film, director Ronny Yu was accompanied by five of the movie's leading actors, namely Vic Chou, Wu Chun, Raymond Lam, Fu Xinbo and Yu Bo.
The production company, Huayi Brothers, also announced that Adam Cheng is set to act the part of Yang's supreme commander, while the five actors who attended the news conference, along with Louis Koo and Li Chen, will portray the seven brothers of the family.
"Saving General Yang" is based on one of the most famous hero stories of ancient China, "The Yang's Saga". It tells of four generations of the Yang family, all sacrificed their lives in order to protect their country.
