LOS ANGELES – Despite an onslaught of bad reviews -- The Hollywood Reporter called it "chaotic, dull and a little silly" -- "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" enjoyed strong tickets sales on Broadway last week.
The ill-starred $65 million musical grossed $1,330,014, an increase of almost 3 percent over the previous week, reported the New York Times.
It still took a back seat to "Wicked," which grossed $1.44 million for the same number of performances as Spider-Man.
"Spider-Man" producers have been asking audiences to participate in focus groups to help identify problems before its long-delayed official March 15 opening.
