LOS ANGELES - TV veteran Josh Schwartz will make his feature directing debut with "Fun Size," a teen comedy written by a "Colbert Report" scribe.
The Paramount project centers on a sarcastic teenage girl who is forced to take her little brother trick-or-treating on Halloween, then loses him and must find him before their mother finds out. The studio picked up the spec script by Max Werner in May 2010.
Shooting is scheduled for a late-spring start in St. Louis so that the film can be in theaters in time for Halloween.
In addition to creating the teen soap "The O.C.," Schwartz co-created "Chuck" and "Gossip Girl."
