LOS ANGELES – Megan Fox is joining "Friends With Kids," an ensemble comedy from actress Jennifer Westfeldt.
The story revolves around a pair of thirtysomething best friends who observe the toll that children take on the couples they know and resolve to bypass that stress by having a child and then dating other people.
Westfeldt, directing from her own script, and Adam Scott will play the lead couple. Fox, last seen in the box office bombs "Jennifer's Body" and "Jonan Hex," will play a girl who begins to date Scott's character.
Another couple will be played by Westfeldt's boyfriend, "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, and Kristen Wiig. A third couple has not been cast. The movie will be released in April.
