Large Medium SmallLOS ANGELES – "Back to You" and "Woke Up Dead" actor Josh Gad is near a deal for a comedy project at CBS.
The actor-comedian landed a script deal at the network for "Adopted Family." The premise: When a teenage girl shows up on his doorstep, a man discovers his new wife has a daughter he didn't know existed.
Gad is a correspondent on "The Daily Show" and appears in the upcoming film "Love and Other Drugs."
