Taylor Lautner exits 'Northern Lights'?

Taylor Lautner has reportedly decided not to pursue his starring role in Northern Lights.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the actor has bowed out of the forthcoming fighter pilot drama.

The 18-year-old had signed up to star as a young pilot who struggles with his controlling, billionaire father. Tom Cruise was speculated to be in the running to play Lautner's on-screen dad.

However, it is thought that the star's hectic shooting schedule has caused him to pull out.

Lautner is already lined up to feature in Stretch Armstrong, Max Steel, Cancun and the rest of the Twilight sequels.
