"Meatballs" sweeps video charts

LOS ANGELES  – The family hit "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" debuted at No. 1 on all three home video charts Wednesday.

It ended the three-week reign of "The Hangover" on the Nielsen VideoScan sales chart. The Las Vegas comedy slipped to No. 2, while "The Final Destination" debuted at No. 3.

"Meatballs" also debuted at No. 1 on trade publication Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week ended January 10, bumping "The Hangover" to No. 4. "Paranormal Activity" held at No. 2 and "District 9" at No. 3, both in their second weeks. "The Final Destination" debuted at No. 6, just behind "Inglourious Basterds" at No. 5.

"Meatballs" also was an easy victor on the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc sales chart, while "The Hangover" slipped to No. 2.
