LOS ANGELES  – Steve Carell's Carousel Prods. is producing "Hi-T," a comedy about masculinity.

Kim Barker, who co-wrote the Robin Williams marriage comedy "License to Wed," will pen the screenplay.

The Warner Bros. project centers on a man who begins taking testosterone injections after an injury leaves him deprived of the chemical, only to find his moods swinging uncontrollably.

The film project is one of the first for Carell's nascent Carousel banner. The company has a first-look feature deal at Warners and a television deal at Universal.

"The Office" star Carell is not expected to star in "Hi-T." He's still weighing which feature project he will shoot during his May hiatus from the NBC series. The offbeat romantic comedy "Date Night" -- in which Carell and Tina Fey star as a couple who get more than they bargained for on their night out -- is believed to take priority over other options.

Barker wrote the Sandra Bullock-starring "All About Steve," which Fox 2000 will release this year. The comedy involves an eccentric who falls in love with a CNN cameraman.
