British singer Lily Allen is struggling to write her second album,
despite being put up in luxury in a $10,000 a month New York apartment to help
her work in peace.
The star, who complained of the excessive media interest in her hometown of
London, fled to New York to seek refuge and work on her new songs without
distraction.
But the Smile hitmaker confesses she has failed to write any new material
despite her record company footing her rent and bills to allow her time to "work
in peace".
She tells PageSix, "We've done nothing! All we've done is make YouTube videos
for other peoples' songs."
