Kristina Fran Duvemala, a new musical by ABBA stars Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus is in a copyright legal battle.

The duo has claimed that the show is entirely theirs and their scriptwriters, but Carl-Johan Seth, who wrote the words for the musical, has disputed the contention.

The stage show by the highly acclaimed 1970s pop band’s members and scriptwriters Lars Rudolfsson and Jan Mark has been screened in their native- Sweden. But they have to wait for the court decision to screen it in America.

If Andersson and Ulvaeus lose their argument in that case schedule for March 23, the musical will be permitted only in concerts.

If the duo emerges victorious then the show will be screened in Minneapolis later this year.
