US television actor Lane Garrison could face manslaughter charges over a car crash last year that left a 17-year-old dead.
Beverly Hills police said today they had recommended the 26-year-old Prison Break actor be charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving in connection with the December 2 accident.
Garrison was driving his Land Rover vehicle when it left the road and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved.
Garrison suffered only minor injuries in the crash but one of his three passengers, teenager Vahagn Setian, later died.
A blood test at hospital revealed Garrison was allegedly two times over California's drink-driving limit, police said.
Police said they are also recommending that Garrison be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Los Angeles city lawyers will decide on whether to charge Garrison at a later date.
