Kate Winslet wants more kids

Hollywood star Kate Winslet wants to expand her brood. The mother of two said she wants one or two more children.

Winslet also revealed she takes pride in cooking for Mia, six, and Joe, three.

But the 31-year-old said motherhood also meant being strict, to make sure her daughter and son do not become materialistic. "I'm hoping to have more kids," Winslet toldInStylemagazine.

She said: "Mia said to me the other day in the car 'Mum, I really love your cooking'.
"To me it was a sort of incredibly triumphant moment, the fact that she observed that I do cook their meals. It makes me sound like a domestic freak, but I care very much about my kids' nutrition."

Winslet, who is married to director Sam Mendes, said that at Christmas she begs friends and family not to spoil her children with presents.

"I have to phone people and say 'Please, books and pens only, or mittens and hats'," she said.

She adds, "It's great when the mum can be the person who represents all of those nurturing things for her kids. My mum was certainly that for me."

Winslet likes cooking the kids' favorites: salmon for Mia and lamb for Joe. "It makes me sound like a domestic freak," she says, "but I care very much about my kids' nutrition."
