LONDON - Justin Timberlake continued to top the UK album chart for the third
week after his new album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, raced to the top of the charts
in it first week.
Timberlake beat off other new entries like indie band the Fratellis'
"Costello Music" and former Fame Academy finalist Lemar's "The Truth About
Love". Last week's number one album, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, dropped down to
number four.
Meanwhile Scissor Sisters' I Don't Feel Like Dancin' remained at the top of
the singles chart second week running with Timberlake's SexyBack on the second
spot. Timberlake has reportedly signed up with Duran Duran, the iconic eighties
pop band, and will produce tracks for their new album.
Meanwhile Fergie's "London Bridge" jumped up from 25th spot to the third on
the singles list soon after its physical release. Jamelia's "Something About
You" was at the tenth spot, just below "Never Be Lonely" from Feeling. Nelly
Furtado and rapper Timbaland's "Promiscuous" was at the fourth spot followed by
"When You Were Young", by rock band the Killers.
