Lindsay Lohan's new friend is pop diva Madonna, according to contactmusic.com.

They discovered that they have a lot in common. First of all the superstar's daughter Lourdes is a huge fan of the Mean Girl actress' movies. Then the young singer/actress shares the same hairdresser with the Material Girl.

"She told me that her daughter is a fan of mine. We just clicked instantly after that. We also share the same hairdresser", said Lohan.

Also the 20-year-old Lindsay began studying the Kabbalah. Madonna introduced her to the mystical offshoot of Judaism.

Speaking about Kabbalah, Lindsay said: "Yes, I am looking into Kabbalah. All of us need something. You have to grab on to whatever gets you through."
