Fox is adding a sci-fi flavor to its development slate by committing to drama pilots about an undead attorney and a young cop who happens to be centuries old.
"Amy After Dark" centers on a young attorney in New York who joins the undead after she is bitten by a vampire.
John Scott Shepherd, who created the ABC series "The Days," will write the script; Todd Holland, a three-time Emmy winner for his directing work on Fox's "Malcolm in the Middle" and HBO's "The Larry Sanders Show," will shoot the pilot.
The other, as-yet-untitled project centers on an energetic young police detective with a secret: behind his youthful appearance, he actually is centuries old.
Christian Taylor, whose credits include HBO's "Six Feet Under" and ABC's "Miracles," will write the script.
