CCTV stops Wu Zongxian's show

CCTV has called time out on top Taiwan TV entertainment show host Jacky Wu Zong Xian after he spent almost half a year hosting the Chinese Show Star program.

It's rumored that the show has been axed because Jacky Wu Zong Xian's style clashes with the national broadcaster's management. However, a station spokeswoman has said the show has not been permanently suspended, saying there are only slight adjustments to the programming underway.

CCTV invited Jacky Wu Zong Xian to host the show because his funny and relaxed style endeared him to mainland audiences, but his careless on air comments may have been too much for CCTV.
