Jolie introduces baby to delighted mother Updated: 2006-06-26 10:11 Angelina Jolie has delighted her ailing mother Marcheline Bertrand by
taking her newborn baby daughter to her grandmother's bedside in California.
Jolie gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia last month.
But Bertrand, who has been staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel in recent
months while she receives treatment for uterine cancer, was too ill to be by
Jolie's side when she gave birth.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Angelina originally wanted to give
birth to Shiloh in France. But Marcheline simply wasn't well enough to make the
long-haul flight to be by her daughter's side."
"Angelina has been determined to let her mother hold Shiloh before it was too
late. When she finally put Shiloh in her arms it was an emotional moment to say
the least."
"Angelina was overwhelmed that her mother managed to battle through to see
her granddaughter at last."
