A yoga lesson with Gwyneth Paltrow has fetched $55,000 (GBP30,000). 

The Oscar-winning star was shocked to learn that an eager fan stumped up the astonishing amount for her unique offer.

She said: "Someone's spent a great deal of money on it so I'm going to have to really come up with an excellent plan".

The blonde actress donated the prize for an auction in aid of Prince Charles' Prince's Trust 30th Anniversary - of which she is an ambassador.

However, the lucky bidder should not get too excited about what he gets for his money as the Hollywood beauty - who is married to Coldplay star Chris Martin - is not planning on throwing in any interesting bonuses.

She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Unfortunately I can't do it in the nude or anything to make it really exceptional but I will try and come up with a good plan for a yoga lesson."

Meanwhile, Gwyneth has been busy practicing yoga to get her pre-pregnancy body back after giving birth to her second child, Moses, last month.
