Keira Knightley has come top of a poll of the world's 100 Sexiest Women.

The actress beats off competition from the likes of Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz and Kate Moss.

US star Scarlett Johansson, 21, takes third place in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2006 poll, one below glamour model Keely Hazel.

Angelina Jolie is fourth, ahead of last year's winner Kelly Brook, who has slipped to fifth place.

FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll received nearly two million votes from the British public.

Pride and Prejudice star Keira, 21, shot up the annual chart from 18th place last year.

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy, who was second last year, is now in sixth place, one above superstar Beyonce.

Lost actress Evangeline Lilly, who was an unknown last year, takes eighth place, followed by actresses Jessica Alba and Jessica Simpson.

Doctor Who star Billie Piper snaps up eleventh place in the poll, one ahead of fellow British actress Sienna Miller.

Knightley also beats the likes of Halle Berry (17), Charlize Theron (26), Paris Hilton (34) and Cameron Diaz (76).
