Ang Lee Update

In an interview with China's CCTV, Ang Lee said he had multiple projects in parallel development and one of them was about China. He will reteam with cinematographer Peter Pau, designer Tim Yip and screenwriter Wang Hui-Ling, who he worked with in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

With the project, Lee intents to try something new and offer inexperience young actors a chance to shine. Lee revealed no more detail of the project but he said it would not be the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon prequel or sequel. Reportedly, Focus Features, which produced Brokeback Mountain, is interested in a project to reunite Ang Lee with Zhang Ziyi but both of them has refused to offer any confirmation.
