Into the Hall of Mental Cultivation

Exhibition Hall of Mental Cultivation in the Forbidden City showcases over 260 precious cultural relics from the Palace Museum.

Since the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the Hall of Mental Cultivation was the living quarters of the Qing Dynasty emperors. The exhibition restores the original indoor furnishings of the Hall, giving visitors a chance to closely observe the life of the Qing Dynasty emperors.
