Coming into Fashion: portrayal of women

Coming into Fashion comes to Beijing after touring 12 cities worldwide since 2012. The exhibition displays a selection of fashion photos from the archives of Conde Nast, the US media company founded in 1909.

The photos cover the evolution of fashion and fashion photography since the early 20th century. It offers a historical perspective of how women were viewed and portrayed, and what social roles they were expected to perform.
