Railway ticket booking to start for Spring rush
People will be able to book tickets next Thursday for Jan 24, the first day of the 2016 Chinese Spring Festival transportation season, known colloquially as the "Spring rush". The Sina Weibo blog of the China Railway Corporation released a calendar for ticket booking on Wednesday. Netizens can book their tickets online up to 60 days in advance, according to the blog. The 2016 Spring rush runs from Jan 24 through March 3, according to China Railway Corporation.
Black Friday shopping spree to begin
Consumers in the United States will embrace a shopping spree next week as Black Friday, the beginning of the Christmas shopping season, nears. Online retail giant Amazon.com is planning to use the upcoming Black Friday shopping festival to consolidate its cross-border credentials and retail presence in China. Black Friday, which is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day, falls on Nov 26 this year.
Polish president to visit China
Polish President Andrzej Duda will visit China from Nov 23 to 27 and attend the fourth Meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern Europe. China and Poland are expected to sign deals about high-speed railway or nuclear energy projects, Securities Times quoted a source as saying on Thursday.
Sixth Fujian Arts Festival to kick off
The Sixth Fujian Arts Festival will be held from Nov 23 to Dec 15 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province. More than 20,000 professional and amateur performers will attend about 100 shows and exhibitions at the event.
