Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on Thursday afternoon to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's meeting of prime ministers.
Li flew to Uzbekistan after concluding a four-day visit to Romania, where he met with government leaders from Central and Eastern Europe.
In Tashkent, the premier is slated to hold talks with government leaders from SCO member countries about the expansion of the organization. They will discuss the establishment of a development bank for the bloc. He is also expected to agree on a number of economic and trade deals with Uzbekistan Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
