A 26-year-old man who was abducted two decades ago finally found his parents on Nov 3, West China Metropolis Daily reported on Tuesday.

The man, named Zhou Changkui, was trafficked in 1993 when he was 6 years old to a family in Handan, Hebei province, while he was playing in front of his house. At age 14, Zhou left his adopted home to work as a migrant worker, while trying to find his parents.

On Dec 10, 2012, Zhou sought help from police in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, to find his parents. The police sent Zhou’s information to Yunnan, which Zhou believed to be his hometown.

On Oct 20, 2013, Yunnan police told Zhou that his DNA matched that of a man named Zhou Yuqian.
