More than 120 Chinese film directors are attending China Film Directors' Guild in Dujiangyan, a tourism city in Sichuan province known for a centuries-old irrigation system that the city was named after.

Listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2000, the irrigation project was designed by Li Bing, who served the Qin Dynasty (221 – 206 BC) as an administrator.

Attracted by the historical significance of the city, directors have shown a keen interest in producing movies highlighting the city's natural scenery.

The guild donated a sculpture of Li Bing during the three-day event in honor of the great designer.

The event will last for three days, and guests will visit Qingcheng Mountain, and partake in tai chi.
