Another section of the historical remain of the Great Wall, 1,300 meters long, was found in Beijing's Huairou District, and it may have been built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (561-565), Beijing Daily reported Tuesday.

According to the site investigation, the relic is ladder-shaped and about one meter at its peak. In addition, the isolated Great Wall has no joining point with the Ming Dynasty Great Wall.

"In the building structure, the Ming Dynasty Great Wall was built as slabs of stone base and brick wall. However, the newly found Great Wall was quite different," said Zhang Lingmian, a former director of the Huairou Historic Relic Administration.
