Kia Soul

The crossover model made at Sino-Korean car joint venture Dongfeng Yueda Kia has two engine options: 1.6-liter four-cylinder and 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Both versions have two gearbox options: five-speed manual and four-speed automatic. The 1.6-liter version generates peak power of 90.4kW/6,300rpm and offers maximum torque of 155Nm/4,200rpm. Its top speed is 170 km/h and consumes 6.61 liters of gasoline per 100 km. The 2.0-liter version's maximum power and top torque stand at 104.4kW/6,000rpm and 186.3Nm/4,600rpm. This version has a top speed of 180 km/h and its gasoline consumption is 8.05 liters per 100 km.

The Soul is 1,096 mm long, 1,785 mm wide and 1,663 mm high. Its wheelbase is 2,550 mm. The model retails between 103,800 and 141,800 yuan. It mainly competes with Suzuki SX4, MG3 and Volkswagen CrossPolo.

Riich G5

The mid-sized sedan from Chery is equipped with a 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It has two gearbox options: six-speed manual and five-speed automatic. Having maximum power of 125kW/5,500rpm and provides peak torque of 235Nm/1,900rpm, the Riich G5's top speed stands at 215 km/h. It meets the national IV emission standard.

The model is 4,717 mm long, 1,794 mm wide and 1,473 mm high. Its wheelbase is 2,700 mm. It retails between 142,800 and 179,800 yuan. It mainly competes with Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata NFC.

MG6

The compact model from SAIC Motor has two engine options; 1.8-liter naturally aspirated DVVT four-cylinder and 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. It also has two transmission options: five-speed manual and five-speed Tiptronic. The 1.8-liter DVVT produces maximum power of 98kW/6,000rpm and offers top torque of 170Nm/4,800rpm. The 1.8-liter turbocharged generates peak power of 118/kW/5,500rpm and boasts maximum torque of 215Nm/2,500-4,500rpm. This version has a top speed of 205 km/h.

The MG6's length, width and height are 4,653 mm, 1,827 mm and 1,478 mm. It has a 2,705-mm wheelbase. The model sells for 128,800 to 192,800 yuan. It goes head-to-head with Mitsubishi Lancer EX and Ford Focus hatchback.

Haima Qiubite

The subcompact model from Chinese homegrown brand Haima has two engine options: 1.3-liter four-cylinder and 1.5-liter four-cylinder. The 1.5-liter version generates peak power of 77kW/6,000rpm and offers top torque of 141Nm/4,000rpm. The model is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Qiubite's length, width and height are 3,890 mm, 1,695 mm and 1,480 mm. It has a 2,500-mm wheelbase. The model retails between 53,900 and 65,900 yuan. The company said it has received more than 4,000 orders for the subcompact by last week.
