New Toyota Crown

FAW-Toyota unveiled the new model in October and announced the prices on Dec 14.

The new Crown retails between 326,800 and 899,500 yuan.

It has three engine options: 2.5-liter six-cylinder, 3-liter six-cylinder and 4.3-liter eight-cylinder. All are equipped with Toyota's 6-speed automatic transmission 6 Super ECT.

The 2.5-liter version produces a maximum power of 142kW/6,200rpm and offers a peak torque of 236Nm/4,400rpm. The 3-liter engine generates a maximum power of 167kW/6,200rpm and offers a peak torque of 293Nm/4,400rpm. The 4.3-liter version's maximum power and peak torque are 208kW/5,600rpm and 420Nm/3,500rpm respectively and its top speed is 250km/h.

Toyota has applied its most advanced technologies in the new Crown, including the intelligent parking assist, vehicle dynamics integrated management and variable gear ratio steering system.

The model is 5,005 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,500 mm high, with a 2,925 mm-long wheelbase. According to the company, the new Crown aims to mainly compete with Audi A6L in China's premium car market.
