Model IP city
Qingdao won praise this month for its continuing success as a National Intellectual Property Model City in China.
The Assessment Expert Group on National Intellectual Property Model Cities on Aug 14 visited Qingdao to evaluate the city's work.
Qingdao was named a model city in May 2007.
The experts reported the city had been successful in rapidly developing an infrastructure to enforce IP protections while also promoting Qingdao as an innovation-friendly city.
The Qingdao Municipal People's Government has established an IP Work Leadership Group and implemented a series of policies to promote the development and protection of IP-related businesses.
