Hi-tech toy for pets
Many have already watched their dogs or cats spending hours trying to catch the spots of light when introduced to a laser pointer. That's the idea of this toy for keeping your pets busy.
The Well Bolt can give your pet some much needed exercise while making it less work for you to exercise your pet.
This bowling pin-shaped laser toy emits a red beam of light that automatically moves in a random pattern.
The Well Bolt can be set down on the table or floor, or you can hold it in your hand.
When it's in automatic mode, it will run for 15 minutes and then automatically shut off. You can also set it to manual mode and control the laser yourself.
The Well Bolt can be purchased online for $19.95.
A portable shower
If you like to stay clean while you're outdoors, this gadget might prove handy.
Called the "Sea to Summit Pocket Shower", this cleaning kit advertises an outdoors shower experience.
It's green and constructed from heat-resistant, water-resistant fabric with a roll-top opening designed for easy filling.
The polyurethane and nylon bag can hold up to 10 liters of water - enough for what the company said will provide an eight-minute shower. A black covering absorbs heat to warm the water. When zipped up, the pocket shower's pouch measures 45 mm x 80 mm x 140 mm - designed to fit in a backpack.
The Sea to Summit Pocket Shower also features a 20-foot cord to attach to a tree for your outdoor clean-up needs.
Cooking up a new idea
Electrolux is cooking up a new idea to make cooking while multi-tasking a little easier.
The Electrolux Rendez-Vous is being called the first interactive work/cooking table designed especially for homes with limited space.
The tabletop features "energy shield" technology that will transmit power wirelessly to any electrical appliance.
Thus, there's no need to plug in a blender, phone or iPod.
Plus, the tabletop is equipped with heat induction sensor technology systems that will disperse heat wherever a pan is positioned. Not a very good cook? The Electrolux Rendez-Vous also comes equipped with "virtual chef" software to guide consumers through basic cooking steps. The product has not yet been released.
A new kind of notebook
The Chinese computer maker Lenovo proved itself an innovator with its ThinkPad X300. Now the computer maker is offering its T400s notebook.
This notebook apparently is attempting to bridge the gap between weak ultra-portables and large-screen battery drainers.
Measuring a mere 2.075 cm in thickness and tipping the scales at less than 1.8 kg, the notebook manages to achieve its extremely skinny frame courtesy of its 2.25-cm LED display, accompanied by a solid state drive and a second-generation Top Cover Roll Cage.
This unique roll cage is made out of single-shell, carbon-reinforced fiber - a material similar to that found in bicycle frames and airplanes.
Surprisingly, Lenovo decided to actually tweak a keyboard that has become a staple of the ThinkPad line with this new product.
The company increased the size of the Delete and Escape keys and tightened up the spaces between the keys to "help avoid crumbs that would otherwise fall below the keyboard," according to the company.
Other features of this product include a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processor, your choice of a 128GB SSD or 250GB HDD, and a 9.5mm slim DVD burner or Blu-ray player.
The T400s also features a multi-touch track pad, a 34-mm ExpressCard slot (or 5-in-1 card reader), a battery good for six hours and VGA / DisplayPort outputs.
The price of the product starts at $1,599.
