Innovation model
Microsoft has announced a partnership in China to help make the eastern city of Hangzhou a model for innovation and protection of intellectual property.
A three-year agreement calls for Microsoft to help set up two new centers in Hangzhou. It will focus on developing the local technology industry. The deal came after Hangzhou pledged to improve its enforcement of anti-piracy laws and to promote the use of legitimate software by individuals, government offices and companies.
