Wind power project

The National Development and Reform Commission reportedly approved the plans for a wind power plant, with a capacity of 3.8 million kw, in Jiuquan, where China's satellite launch center is located. Construction on the wind power project, which mainly comprises 18 wind power stations each with a capacity of 200,000 kw and two wind power stations each with a capacity of 100,000 kw, will soon begin. Upon its completion in 2010, the plant's installed capacity will amount to 5 million kw.
