Former China Telecom executive under graft investigation

(Xinhua) Updated: 2015-04-18 14:31

BEIJING - Leng Rongquan, former vice-general manager of China Telecom, is being investigated for graft, according to the discipline inspection department of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

Leng has not held the post of vice-general manager of China Telecom since 2009. He is the latest senior executive of State-owned enterprises (SOEs) taken down by the country's anti-graft campaign.

The CCDI sent inspection teams into 26 centrally-administered SOEs, including China Telecom, in March.

China Telecom is a leading telecom service provider in China.
