How do you spend your weekend amid your busy schedule? What are your hobbies?

I walk quite a bit as I don't own a car in London. I live opposite Hyde Park and it's great to walk in the park. It's beautiful. I collect antique milk jugs so spend a bit of time in antique stores and antique fairs. I go to church on a Sunday wherever I am and I enjoy the orchestra, opera, theater and galleries.

What is the saying that you like the most?

"We can because we think we can." It happens to be the motto of my mother's family.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Walking on a sandy beach, with the sun on my back and the salt air on my face.

What is your greatest fear?

I don't fear things. I embrace life.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?

Three successful children and four grandchildren, all with strong values

What kind of "green" lifestyle do you have?

I walk a lot.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would have more hours in the day so I can do all the things I want to do.

What are your most treasured possessions?

Photos of my family and loved ones.

Name places in China that impressed you most and those you have not visited but want to explore.

The Forbidden City in Beijing and the Bund in Shanghai are both very impressive.

I haven't been to Xi'an to visit the Terracotta Warriors, which is high on my wish-list.

What's the best way to break the ice with a Chinese businessman you've met for the first time?

Invite them to a fine Chinese meal.

Give three words to describe your impression of Chinese businessmen.

Focused, hardworking and good at deals.

What kind of experience has shaped your thoughts the most?

My father passed away when I was 15 and that has been a significant influence on the person I am today.
