Located in the heart of the revitalized former British concession and central business district, The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin is expected to open in mid-2013.
The hotel will pay homage to the city's historical heritage and vibrant modern development.
The hotel, located by the Haihe River, will have 278 rooms, including 55 suites. It will reflect the cultural European heritage in the district.
Tianjin enjoys one of the fastest growth rates in China and is a key economic hub. Major industries include petrochemical, car production, metal works and aircraft manufacturing. It is also the world's fourth-largest container port and China's largest artificial deep-water port.
