Danish Queen Margrethe II is on a state visit to China from April 24-28 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The state visit by the Queen, which comes at an "extremely important period" in Chinese development, will focus on how to support China in its pursuit of sustainable development.  The five-day visit will take the queen to Nanjing, Suzhou,  Jiaxing and Shanghai after meeting with President Xi in Beijing.

Princess Sirindhorn paid a visit to China from April 6 to 11, 2014. The Princess has visited China more than 30 times since 1981. She has contributed greatly to increasing the cultural, educational and technical exchanges and co-op between China and Thailand.

Princess Chulabhorn gave a performance by playing Gu Zheng, a Chinese classical musical instrument, at a concert at Tsinghua University in Beijing on Dec 14, 2014. She visited China two or three times a year recently in order to learn Gu Zheng

The late Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk spent many important times in China, and he viewed Beijing as his second hometown. He died on October 15, 2012 in China's capital of Beijing at the age of 90 due to natural cause. Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni traveled to Beijing on Feb 19, 2014, for a routine medical checkup. Sihamoni, 61, usually has his health checked by Chinese doctors twice a year. His last body checkup was in August.

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom paid a state visit to China from Oct 12 to 18, 1986.  The China visit brought the Queen and her 50 entourage to some centuries-old wonders, including the Great Wall, the ancient capital of Xian, Kunming, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, second son of Queen Elizabeth II, attended the British Pavilion Day events at the Shanghai World Expo in September 2010 as British special representative for international trade and investment. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden has visited China several times since the 1980s. Gustaf attended the evening reception marking the 60th anniversary of Sweden-China diplomatic ties in May 2010.   Queen Margrethe II made a state visit to China in 1979, becoming the first western monarch to visit the country. She is on a state visit to China on April 24-28 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz paid a three-day state visit to China in January 2006. The two sides signed a protocol on bilateral cooperation in petroleum, natural gas and minerals, as well as several other cooperative documents concerning economy and the training of professionals. Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited China in March 2014. In a joint communique issued by both countries, the two sides pledged to strengthen cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, mineral resources, investment and infrastructure building, and the peaceful use of nuclear power. King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein visited China in September last year. He attended the China-Arab State Expo in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region during his trip. Princess Sheikha Maitha Mohammed Rashid Al-Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates attended a training camp in Beijing with members of Chinese taekwondo squad and competed in the taekwondo under-67 kilogram category at the Beijing Olympics.
