Life at white-collar detention center

Reporters wait to enter the Shenzhen No 3 Detention Center during open house in South China's Guangdong province, Aug 15, 2013. The two doors of the detention center cannot be opened at the same time. There are about 200 detainees, mostly former officials, spending most of their time indoors reading books and newspapers. They can watch TV from 7 pm until 10:30 pm. Zeng Yueying, an associate dean of the Law School at Shenzhen University, suggested the center invite officials for a visit as a warning. [Photo/CFP]
