Typhoon Nesat strikes South China

Nesat, the 17th typhoon this year, was 200 km southeast of Wenchang, a city in eastern Hainan, on the morning of Sept 29, according to the provincial meteorological bureau. The typhoon is strengthening and moving northwest before it is expected to land on the coastal regions of Wanning of Hainan and Yangjiang of Guangdong province on Thursday afternoon or evening. [Photo/CFP]
