Infant escape aid takes off

A rat is unharmed after being dropped from a 16-floor building inside an escape aid in Chongqing municipality on Aug 28, 2011. Zhang Huai, a 65-year-old retired teacher, has invented a high-rise -escape aid for infants which resembles a column-shaped rubber bucket and is filled with water and latex. Infants are safe even falling from a plane because of the cushioning effect of the apparatus, said Zhang who secured a patent certificate for the escape aid. [Photo/CFP]
