Walk through the streets of Kunming nowadays and you’ll likely encounter a place with all the trappings of a modern city. However, the city’s inception is far from recent and the city was once littered with ancient streets telling of its ups and downs. These recently-discovered photos offer a window into the Yunnan provincial capital’s past.
