    As its name suggests, bamboo fungi grows by the roots of bamboo plants. Its shape is similar to that of a net umbrella, owing to its nickname, "snow-skirt fairy" and "fungus queen".

  • Termite mushroom


    Termite mushroom only grows in the red earth of the southwestern and southeastern parts of China. It is usually found springing out of the top of termite hills during the rainy season from July to September.

    The appearance of the cauliflower mushroom can be compared somewhat to a sea sponge, a brain, or a head of cauliflower – from which it has been given its popular name.
