Jiaoye Park in Kunming held its 16th peach blossom festival on Mar 1. Around 10,000 peach trees are located at the park, creating a sea of blossom to welcome visitors throughout the one month blossom period.

The festival has been held annually since 2001 and will run until April 4 this year.

For this year's festival, 3.5 kilometers of avenues have been renovated, along which geraniums, chrysanthemum, azaleas and various other flowers were planted. People can enjoy themselves by walking, jogging or bicycling among the flowers. An area was also designated for people to have picnics and barbecues without polluting the environment.
